It is no surprise that, "Rustic Chic" has taken the industry by storm! The effortless, natural, and organic feel of this style gives a lot of "Wow!" factor with a dash of casual flare.
One of my favorite outcomes from this design boom is the "Mismatched Matching" in all aspects of the wedding. From bridesmaids dresses to table designs, you can create an intricate and beautiful esthetic for your guests.
Recently I did an event that mixed round, square and farm tables with various linens, chargers, and centerpieces which allowed guests to have a unique experience at each table. This customized look gave guests the feeling that because their tables were unique and special, that THEY were unique and special (which they are)!
The question then becomes, "How do we Mismatch which still staying cohesive?" Excellent question! The key to this design element is to have a commonality that ties the differences together. For example, if all the bridesmaids what different dresses, make sure the dresses are about the same length and have matching shoes. These two small details will make their outfits match while keeping the individuality. In my table example, we used the same tone in the linen fabrics and the same types of flowers in centerpieces to tie it all together!
Be inspired by uniqueness and individuality!
