{D.E.S.T.I.N.A.T.I.O.N} The Nest, Chiang Dao, Thailand

My husband and I decided to "go big" for our honeymoon and backpack around Thailand. The country is amazing and I highly recommend it for honeymoons, elopments and of course a destination wedding! Thailand has everything to offer from beachside boozing to electric Bangkok city life and, my favorite, mountains!

Just north of Chiang Mai, in a town called Chiang Doa, you can find temples on top of Mountains and deep in caves, markets with potent spices, beautiful florals and some of the happiest people in the world. I knew from even our tuk tuk ride that my husband and I were in for a treat! We stayed at a "resort" called The Nest and as we stepped foot onto the beautifully manicured lawn, I couldn't imagine a better spot in Thailand to get married.

The Nest is split into 2 resorts about a quarter of a mile apart. Between the two there are 20 cottages for guests, 2 restaurants and miles of incredibly nature nestled below beautiful mountains along with many amenities. Both parts of the resort have amazing landscapes that are perfect for both ceremonies and receptions. One of the lawns has beautiful palms decorated with twinkling lights and romantic lounge seating.
