Happy Tuesday! Today we want to talk to you about your spring cleaning! No we are not giving you tips on how to clean your home, just how to clean up your mind, body & spirit!! So how does one stay organized as the wedding approaches?
Here are our tips:

1) DECLUTTER: I am a huge fan of Pinterest, as many of your know, however, if you're getting married in the summer, now is the time to stop pinning wedding ideas!! If you try to bite off more than you can chew, at this point, you will being to feel overwhelmed and run the risk of straying from your vision leading to the feeling of stress. If you need advice on turning your Pinterest board into your wedding decor, see my blog on how to do this!

2) LISTS, LISTS & MORE LISTS! Lists are the best way to make a comprehensive "punch" list. This can help center your mind and show a hierarchy of what needs to get done first. I am known for using a good ol' paper and pencil to do this (yes, wedding planners need lists too!) though you can use Google Docs, a white board or chalk board-- whatever your preference-- make a list!
3) STAY CALM! The worst thing you can do for your chi is to get in a tizzy-- this doesn't help tic off anything on your to do list, or declutter your mind! A great way to do this is a quick workout or a lovely jog! That doesn't hurt your bridal fitness, either! If you need ideas on quick, easy (and free!) work out ideas, we have a lovely "Bridal Bootcamp" Pinterest board. Also check out our I Do Running Club which is a great way to jog with planners and ask questions that may be on your mind!

4) TALK IT OUT! If you are worried about the flow of the day, talk it out with a friend! The simple act of walking through your thoughts and details with someone who has not been involved with planning from the beginning, especially out loud, can help to raise any red flags that you may have been missed because you were "in the trenches". Friends can also give you great advice on what they enjoy most at weddings they have attended. They also know your personality and can help you stay focused on what you want rather than all the other opinions that may pop up from family members or vendors.
5) HAVE FUN! I can never say this enough, remember this is a FUN occasion! Don't loose sight of the fact that you are planning a fabulous celebration for your friends and family! No one goes to a wedding to have a bad time. The more fun YOU have, the more fun your guests will have because they feed off of your energy.
