Not only do brides and grooms need help with their gowns, tuxes and bridesmaid dresses, but wedding guests need help too!! The Black Tux, tuxedo rental company, has put together an incredible guide to help sift through the language on your received invitation and know what to wear to the celebration!!
I generally recommend the following tips and tricks when packing your party outfit!
1) If you have to ask, it's probably a "no go"! If you are seriously questioning whether your outfit is too risqué, too white or too short, then the answer is probably to play it safe. Remember, though this is a celebration (and much dancing to be enjoyed), it is not a nightclub, so leave the really wild outfits at home!
2) Gentlemen- Beware the "penguin crotch!" If the inseam of your suit/tux pants hang a bit...errrmm... "low" this WILL come across in photos!! It is worth every penny and any moment of time to ensure your trousers are in tip top shape!!
3) Don't wear white to the wedding, unless you're the bride- It seems like common sense, but time and time again I see guests wearing all white to weddings. Event though these are modern times, it is still not appropriate to were this shade. If you think a "cream" colored garment might be too light-- leave it at home!!
